Driven by investment and increased production, Jordan’s garment industry has been witnessing a steady rise since the year began, with garment exports rising by 23.3 per cent year on year (YoY) between January and July to JD 937 million ($1.32 billion), according to the foreign trade report issued by the department of statistics.Garment exports were worth JD 760 million in the first seven months last year.
Businesses, however, continue to face challenges in balancing supply with consumer needs as demand fluctuates amid market uncertainties, shifting consumer preferences and rising competition, according to domestic media reports.
