Armenia’s Tavush Textile Company has launched the production of 3-ply face masks, according to Tavush province governor Chobanyan, who recently announced the daily production volume will reach 300,000 pieces. Health minister Arsen Torosyan said the country also plans to begin production of N95 masks and a manufacturer has acquired a machine from Singapore.

Although the country has adequate number of masks and protective equipment, financial problems may deter purchase, the minister said. All these items were initially quite expensive, and now their prices have risen even more, according to Armenian media reports.
However, problems do exist in medical centres regarding the availability of personal protective equipment, Torosyan added.
