Workers in the Philippines’ textile and footwear sector engaged in low-skilled and repetitive tasks are most vulnerable to advancements from the Fourth Industrial Revolution, according to state-run think tank Philippine Institute for Development Studies (PIDS). Most such workers are women, PIDS senior research fellow Jose Ramon Albert said at a recent forum.
