The new agreement stemmed from the association’s high regard for the LifeWear concept of simple, high-quality everyday clothing that makes everyone's life better. As a result, Uniqlo collaborated with the association and athletes to develop apparel for international winter sporting events. The mogul team will wear Uniqlo apparel for pre-camp, practices, and everyday living and in competition at all 15 World Cup and nine European Cup championships, starting with the 2021 FIS Freestyle Ski World Cup in Finland, which begins on December 4, 2021, Uniqlo said in a press release.
“The performances of top athletes wearing Uniqlo clothing in international sporting events greatly impressed us. We are pleased to support the athletes and officials of the Swedish mogul team. We look forward to the team doing its best on the world stage in Uniqlo apparel. Uniqlo will continue to work jointly with Swedish athletes competing worldwide to further develop LifeWear, in keeping with our commitment to create better, more comfortable, and more positive lifestyles through clothing,” Koji Yanai, group senior executive officer at Fast Retailing said in a statement.
“We greatly appreciate Uniqlo’s outstanding support. We believe that its LifeWear will bring out the best in our athletes and help them surpass expectations. Alongside Uniqlo, we will keep conveying the joy of winter sports to people everywhere and broaden the potential and appeal of sport,” Anders Olofsson, sports director of the Swedish Ski Association said.
