In a strategic move marking an ongoing commitment to the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) retail sector, the Apparel Group, a global fashion and lifestyle retail conglomerate, has spearheaded the expansion of the globally renowned footwear brand, Skechers. With the unveiling of several new stores, Skechers aims to bring its range of footwear and accessories to a broader audience.

The first new store in the expansion series was launched at Al Khiran, Kuwait, on May 30, 2023. This expansive concept store, spanning 2588 square feet, offers a comprehensive range of Skechers’ products, including footwear, apparel, and accessories.

The launch was followed by the inauguration of another store at Najran Park Mall in Najran, Saudi Arabia, on June 8, 2023. This store offers an exclusive selection of Skechers' footwear and accessories, Apparel Group said in a press release.

Notably, the strategic expansion of Skechers also stretches across Bahrain and Oman. A new store is scheduled to open its doors at Enma Mall, Bahrain, in June 2023, delivering an exclusive range of Skechers’ footwear and accessories. Additionally, Skechers is set to make its mark at Salalah Grand Mall, Oman, in June 2023.

“In line with our commitment to elevating customer experiences, we are strategically amplifying Skechers’ presence in the GCC. We are investing in key markets that offer robust growth opportunities. This aggressive expansion represents our confidence in the brand, our innovative product range, and the resilience of the GCC’s retail sector,” said Neeraj Teckchandani, CEO of Apparel Group.
