The US administration will continue levying anti-dumping duty on imports of steel wire garment hangers from China. Under the five-year (sunset) review process, the US International Trade Commission (USITC) has determined that revoking the existing duty would likely lead to continuation or recurrence of material injury within a reasonably foreseeable time.As a result of USITC's affirmative determination, the existing anti-dumping duty order on imports of steel wire garment hangers from China will remain in place.
The USITC action comes under the five-year (sunset) review process required by the Uruguay Round Agreements Act. The review was instituted on February 1, 2019.
