Continental Clothing, a pioneer in the imprint market, producing premium, fashionable, print-ready apparel, is continuing to support sustainable development by launching a new selection of eco-responsible product from certified renewable sources. Currently, Continental Clothing is working with Lenzing to launch EcoVero fibres into their collection.

EcoVero fibres are made from wood pulp, a natural and renewable raw material. The wood is sourced from sustainable forestry plantations which are 100 per cent certified by industry leading associations such as the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC).

Regarding EcoVero fibres, Lenzing only uses FSC and Programme For the Endorsement of Forest Certification certified wood from sustainable forestry plantations. The wood is sourced locally which cuts CO2 emissions by 50 per cent. A closed cycle process means that all water and chemicals used during the production process are recycled and used again, resulting in a 0 per cent pollution impact.

Continental has a long history working with Organic Cotton, Recycled Polyester (PET) and Tencel Lyocell to produce sustainable and eco-friendly clothing. As a member of the Fair Wear Foundation, Continental works to strive towards better working conditions in the textile industry. (RR)
