Gucci has reached 100 per cent renewable energy usage in line with RE100’s guidelines and now boasts 147 LEED-certified sites, marking a 27 per cent year-on-year increase. The brand also achieved 99 per cent traceability for key raw materials.

In its commitment to responsible sourcing, Gucci reported that 100 per cent of its precious metals are responsibly sourced, 74 per cent of its cotton is organic or recycled, and 75 per cent of its viscose is recycled or sourced from responsibly managed sources, as per the report.

The brand’s dedication to circular economy practices was recognised with the 'Ellen MacArthur Foundation Award for Circular Economy' for its Denim Project at the 2023 CNMI Sustainable Fashion Awards. Furthering its circular initiatives, Gucci announced the establishment of a new Circular Hub in Italy. The brand also enhanced its internal circular programmes, including Gucci-up, which recovered 546 tons of leather, fabric, and metal, and Gucci Scrap-less, which saved 3,850,377 litres of water and 312,084 kW of energy, thus avoiding 4,648 tons of CO2 emissions.

Gucci continues to invest in regenerative farming projects for wool, cotton, and silk, while also developing new collaborations to expand the use of regenerative materials in its collections.
