Spanish outdoor clothing brand Ternua has designed a highly technical Adrenalite line for which 92 per cent garments are made with recycled materials. The line has been included in Ternua’s autumn-winter 2023 collection and is focused on high-intensity outdoor activities such as ski mountaineering, trail running, e-biking, or light hiking.

There are three categories in Ternua’s latest Adrenalite line: Rapid JKT, Agile Hybrid JKT, and Race JKT. All three of these styles are designed with different fabrics, but all of them are multi-purpose, lightweight, compact, breathable, and focused on the practice of intense activities, the company said in a press release.

For its autumn-winter collection, Ternua has opted for the Warmshell Breathe for the Rapid JKT, which offers an optimal balance of thermality and breathability. Agile Hybrid JKT combines Warmshell Breathe for insulation and Pertex Quantum Air on the chest to protect the athlete from the wind, while Warmshell has been included in the structure to expel sweat and keep the body dry. For JKT Race, the brand has opted for the Stormfleece Pro, which is very resistant to wind, water, and cold. All these garments have PFC-free water repellence treatment. In addition, Ternua has reincorporated the Rapid Top from previous seasons, a versatile hooded mid-layer made of recycled Warmshell fabric.

On the other hand, Ternua has continued the Cyclone JKT, a very lightweight 20/20 jacket made with recycled fabric or the waterproof Active JKT 10K/30K, as well as the Stowe Pant, Race Pant, and Advance Pant (waterproof). The company also maintains the competition skimo jumpsuit, winner of an ISPO AWARD in 2019, made with disused fishing nets from its Redcycle project and worn by mountain ski teams from various mountain federations, such as the Basque and Madrid federations.

All these garments can be combined with other categories such as trekking or performance baselayers, with the aim of meeting the athletes needs during the activity they are going to practice and in the local weather conditions.
