Announcing the Conclave, Fibre2Fashion’s executive director Jose Daniel said, “The Sustainability Conclave will provide a platform to organisations and brands in the textiles-apparel-fashion industry to showcase their sustainability efforts to the world. This is our way to celebrate World Environment Day on June 5 and take one step closer to a better tomorrow.
“We invite brands, manufacturers & producers, compliance, testing & certification bodies, associations, and government bodies to participate in this ambitious conclave that seeks to chart a pathway towards sustainability and addressing the climate crisis.”
An important part of the conclave will be the Company Showcase – a month-long platform for companies to showcase their Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) strategies to the global industry fraternity. The virtual showcase, from June 1-30, 2022, will provide companies with an opportunity to engage with industry audience and gain visibility for their sustainability initiatives among customers, shareholders and investors.
Under this, every participating company will have the chance to provide a virtual showcase revolving around and promoting its vision; highlight key sustainability initiatives, involving aspects of ESG metrics; management dialogue; present a webinar, featuring its sustainability programme; network with industry peers and experts on ways to incorporate sustainable practices across the value chain; and get featured in the forthcoming 6th edition of the Sustainability Compendium.
Virtual Summit, the stand-out event in the Sustainability Conclave 2022, will be a two-day virtual conference bringing together global corporate leaders and experts from the textile-apparel-fashion industry on a single platform, to share their knowledge, ideas and insights on illustrative themes like: Efforts towards responsible sourcing and material innovation; Reducing emissions footprint from manufacturing; Government policies to scale sustainability efforts; and Certifications, standards, and compliances.
The third component of the Conclave is the 6th edition of Sustainability Compendium, an exclusive print feature that comprehensively talks about sustainability in the global textile and apparel industry. Participating companies get to feature their sustainability policies, initiatives, practices, and products in this publication.
“Climate change is indeed real and focus on its remedies should be a priority. So, we invite companies that have strict sustainability goals for their organisations, following sustainable practices in their businesses, or shifting their energy input from conventional to renewable sources, or contributing in any other form to make lands greener. Sustainability Conclave will enable all such companies to come together and exchange their ideas and experiences,” adds Daniel.
