Net sales reported for Q4 of fiscal 2016 increased 11.2 per cent to $378.6 million as compared to $340.6 million in the prior fiscal.
Wholesale and distributor net sales for Q4 increased 13.4 per cent to $232.7 million compared to $205.1 million for the same period last year. Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) net sales for the fourth quarter increased 7.7 per cent to $145.9 million compared to $135.5 million for the same period last year.
“Looking back on the year, our performance was challenged by record warm weather across the globe and store traffic declines across retail,” Angel Martinez, CEO and chair of the board of directors at Deckers Brands commented.
“While these issues have created lingering headwinds for the industry, I am confident that Deckers is well positioned to increase long-term shareholder value with the new leadership team in place, our robust omni-channel capabilities and strong brand portfolio,” he added.
The company expects a decline in net sales in the first quarter of fiscal 2017, attributed to the timing of order shipments between quarters. (MCJ)
