  • Currently managing director of myToys.de, Behrens will focus on expanding OSP's technology portfolio, positioning it as Otto Group's leading technology provider.
  • Borsutzky will oversee finance, human resources, and sales.

With effect from March 1, 2024, Katrin Behrens will join the management board of Otto Group Solution Provider GmbH (OSP) as CEO. Alongside the current CEO and future co-CEO Dr Stefan Borsutzky, she will hold responsibility for the further strategic expansion of OSP to become the Otto Group's largest technology provider, as well as the expansion of the technology portfolio. Katrin Behrens is currently a managing director of myToys.de GmbH, where as chief technology officer (CTO) she is responsible for the technology and business intelligence divisions.

As the incoming CEO of OSP, the 51-year-old will further increase the significance of OSP for the Otto Group as a strategic technology partner. Her goal is to expand the technology portfolio to enable OSP to offer additional high-performance solutions alongside comprehensive technology consultancy and support. To achieve this, Katrin Behrens' mission is to prepare OSP strategically and technologically for growth and, together with her co-CEO Dr Stefan Borsutzky, to make it the Otto Group's leading technology and solution provider. In addition to holding board responsibility for finance, human resources, and sales, Dr Stefan Borsutzky will continue to drive the internationalisation of the organisation, Otto Group said in a press release.

The Otto Group is thus focusing on further strengthening its internal international technology services to ramp up efficiency, minimise costs and strengthen its competitiveness.

"Katrin Behrens is the ideal appointment for this strategically important role. With her outstanding technology expertise, her proven experience in transformation processes and strong leadership she brings all the prerequisites to strengthen and further expand OSP as an Otto Group technology partner together with Dr Stefan Borsutzky,” Sebastian Klauke, member of the Otto Group executive board, e-commerce, technology, business intelligence, and corporate ventures, said.

"Together with Stefan Borsutzky I am very much looking forward to strategically aligning OSP with our imminent growth initiatives, especially internationally, and to jointly helping move the Otto Group forward with our technological solutions and know-how. Over recent years, Stefan Borsutzky and his team have already laid an outstanding foundation and established a high-performance service provider. I am excited about our collaboration and tackling our joint challenge,” Katrin Behrens said.

As a result of these changes, previous co-CEO Norbert Gödicke will continue to contribute his deep expertise and experience to the development of OSP in the newly created position of vice president and authorised signatory of Otto Group Solution Provider GmbH and his role as managing director OSP Spain.

"I would like to express my gratitude to the current OSP top management team for everything it has achieved so far, and naturally I wish the new management team every success,” Sebastian Klauke said.
