Chinese firm Texhong Textile Group Ltd, which manufactures yarns and fabric, is exploring options to set up business in the Philippines, according to the latter’s department of trade and industry (DTI). Philippine trade secretary Ramon Lopez recently met representatives from the company in China to discuss its interest in investing in the country.

Texhong Textile is among the biggest suppliers of cotton textile in the world. It is engaged primarily in the production and distribution of quality yarn, grey fabrics and garments fabrics of high-value added core-spun yarn and fashion cotton textile.
The firm has operations in China and Vietnam, and also has a sales network across China, South Korea, Hong Kong and Bangladesh. (DS)
