In response to changing consumer demands, Nilit launched its Sensil brand of premium performance Nylon 6.6 a year ago. Whether it’s the cooling effect of Sensil Breeze, the moisture-conducting properties of Sensil Aquarius, the energising benefits of Sensil Innergy or the warming functions of Sensil Heat, the Sensil portfolio has masterfully created intelligent fibres needed to create the most beautiful, durable, and high-quality performance fabrics. And the newest styling product in the collection, Diamond, conjures up a wonderful sparkling shimmer effect on fine fabrics thanks to its special fibre cross-section and composition.Nilit is set to display its Sensil premium nylon 6.6 fabric creations at the Performance Days expo, in stand F08, hall C1, in Munich, Germany, on November 28 and 29, 2018. Leading fabric manufacturers developed extraordinary new Sensil fabrics to help apparel brands and retailers meet the needs of discriminating consumers. At the Performance Days expo, visitors can experience first-hand these brilliant creations at the Nilit stand, including two very special trend innovations, selected by the Performance Days jury for the Performance Forum, from Swiss textile leader Schoeller and Italian fabric expert Pontetorto, according to Nilit.
Schoeller’s new Schoeller Fabric Art. 67 322, weighing 365 g/m2 and equipped with Sensil Heat for exceptional warming performance, was selected for the ‘Outer Layer’ category of the Forum. The woven, soft shell fabric is a composition of 96 per cent nylon/4 per cent elastane, slightly brushed on the inside, wind- and water- repellent on the outside thanks to Schoeller’s Ecorepel technology. The fabric provides 4-way stretch, moisture management, light thermal insulation and is Bluesign tested.
The environmentally friendly Sensil Heat fibre contained in the Schoeller style is made from charcoal extracted from the shell residues of coffee beans. Laboratory tests have shown that Sensil Heat retains body heat while transporting moisture away from the body and neutralising unpleasant odours. Wearers are kept warm and comfortable thanks to the specially-developed technology that integrates coffee carbon and oxide additive permanently into the fibre. This fabric creation with Sensil Heat is perfect for active wear, sportswear, and outerwear.
Pontetorto received glowing reviews of its new knitted fabric Pontetorto Fabric Art. 8979, made by incorporating Sensil’s Diamond yarn on the inside as a filigree terry cloth with an exceptional sparkle. The Diamond yarn’s special cross section gives it a light, bi-coloured luxuriously shimmering melange effect with a 3D appearance. The 303 g/m2 lightweight knitted fabric made of 95 per cent nylon, 5 per cent elastane can be seen in the Performance Forum‘s ‘Second Layer’ category. It is ideal for activewear and athleisure apparel.
At the Nilit booth, Christiane Rauch and the rest of the Nilit team will present the many sensational fabrics made with Sensil Premium Performance Nylon 6.6, including Liebeart’s newest Nanostich fabrics with Sensil Breeze, products from Lemar with Sensil Ecocare recycled nylon, woven stretch fabrics from Getzner with Sensil Breeze, Sensil Heat, Sensil Aquarius and Sensil Innergy, and Ripa’s stunning Crystal collection created with Sensil Diamond.
