Nivedita Saboo, and India and Dubai-based label Studio HJ by Hema Joshi displayed their collections along with Chinese designer Ge Yu for label Anndrestand in the season 3 of House of MEA to a packed audience of British celebrities, media and industry.
Saboo presented a mix of menswear and womenswear with shapely silhouettes. The inspiration for this collection was founded on 'unlearning' and 'desaturation', with white tones representing a blank canvas of creativity and life.
While Joshi kept true to her signature elegant style, presenting full, floor length gowns. Joshi was inspired by the costumes, architecture and vibrant shades of Tibet, which she reflected in this collection with bold geometric prints and a vibrant array of colours
“Our vision is to promote, nurture and incubate emerging talents from India that can cater to a global audience and promote the 'Made in India' initiative by the government of India and also support students as they intern, engage and network during London Fashion Week,” said, Shivang Dhruva, Founder of House of MEA and FAD International Academy.
Last season had seen designer Rocky S and accessory designer Felix Bendish unveil their collections under House of MEA. (HO)
