Louis Vuitton receives Butterfly Mark by Positive Luxury

Louis Vuitton has been awarded the Butterfly Mark, powered by Positive Luxury, for excellence across areas of innovation, social and environmental practices, governance and philanthropy. Since 1854 when Louis Vuitton was founded, the French fashion house and luxury retail company has become synonymous with savoir-faire and visionary design.

As Louis Vuitton has travelled through time, the brand has continually embraced the notions of innovation, collaboration and daring, challenging the boundaries between craftsmanship, art and design, the company said in a press release.

“Great design, sustainability and a great business do go hand in hand,” said Michael Burke, CEO of Louis Vuitton, describing how sustainability is integral to the company’s business.

Founded in 2011, Positive Luxury celebrates brands that act with a deep respect for our world and generations to come. It provides transparency through the interactive Butterfly Mark, showcasing luxury brands who are proactively taking the lead on sustainability, enabling people to buy better. (PC)
