This new Brand Communication department is in addition to the recently-announced appointment of Doris Casares as the new Director of External Communication, Institutional Relations and Public Affairs, who reports directly to the CEO, Toni Ruiz. Both departments will contribute to consolidating Mango's communication strategy and to achieving the objectives set out in its Strategic Plan 2024-2026.
Lameiro, who is joining the company today, has more than 25 years of experience in the development and implementation of marketing and communication strategies in an omnichannel and international environment, with extensive experience in the fashion, luxury and lifestyle sectors.
Until now, Lameiro has held the position of Global Director of Communication and Retail Marketing at Sociedad Textil Lonia, a business group that has managed the communication of the Purificación García and CH Carolina Herrera brands for more than twenty years. In his role, Lameiro was assistant to the management, responsible for brand strategy, positioning and development in 44 markets, development of the marketing plan, talent management, collaborations and influencers, creative direction, coordination of campaigns and events and definition of the media plan, among other duties.
The new Brand Communications Director will be responsible for developing the company's brand strategy and leading the Public Relations, Advertising, In-store Communications and Social Media teams.
After completing his studies in Marketing and Advertising, Lameiro began his professional career in a communication agency in London working with brands such as Versace, Montblanc and Ferragamo. In 2000, he returned to Spain to join Sociedad Textil Lonia as Head of Communication and Marketing in the men's Design team, a position he held for two years. As the company grew, his role expanded to different areas such as retail, marketing, branding, image and e-commerce.
At the same time, Lameiro has combined his professional career with his teaching work at the University of Vigo for eleven years, as a professor at the Escuela Superior de Estudios de Moda de Galicia (ESDEMGA), in the subject of marketing and communication in the textile sector.
