H&M has announced its latest designer collaboration with Rabanne. A trailblazer on the French fashion scene thanks to its late founder Paco Rabanne’s era-defining 1960s creations, since 2013 the house has been reinvigorated by creative director Julien Dossena. The collection will launch in selected stores and online from November 9, 2023.
In keeping with the collection’s party-ready aesthetic, the Rabanne H&M collaboration is now being announced with a glamorous event in Paris at Silencio nightclub. Guests including Jared Leto, Damson Idris, Irina Shayk and Elle Fanning will give an exclusive preview of the collection ahead of its launch, the company said in a press release.
“Rabanne’s metallic dresses are instantly-recognisable pieces of fashion history. We’re thrilled to bring a dazzling array of Rabanne designs to our customers with this sensational collaboration,” said Ann-Sofie Johansson, head of design womenswear and creative advisor at H&M.
“As a designer, I’ve always been interested in exploring hedonism and empowerment. I was very enthusiastic to work with H&M on a collection that will introduce Rabanne’s avant-garde energy to a wider audience in a democratic way,” said Julien Dossena, creative director of Rabanne.
“Rabanne has always been a joyful brand, and this event captured the playful mood of the Rabanne H&M collection. I always want people to feel liberated when they wear our clothes, so it was great to see guests having fun and embracing the collection’s hedonistic spirit,” added Dossena.
The Rabanne H&M collection includes womenswear, menswear, shoes and accessories, as well as an H&M Home décor capsule that complements the fashion collection.
