POP Fashion, Korea Hongik University to cooperate

In a step towards exchange of fashion between China and South Korea, POP Fashion and Korea Hongik University Graduate School of Fashion have unveiled a comprehensive cooperation on the research of popular fashion trends in China and South Korea, a two-way training programme for fashion talent and exchange of designers from both countries.

Zhang Wei, vice president of POP, signed the contract with representatives of South Korea's national treasure designer and dean of Korea Hongik University Graduate School of Fashion, Li Xiangfeng.

The new training programme, Design Infinity, is the internship practice base for graduate students of Korea Hongik University Graduate School of Fashion in China. The programme will give full play to the graduate school's principles of designing unbounded, resource sharing, and accelerating the collision of Chinese and Korean clothing cultures. Furthermore, starting from June 2018, POP data trend and smart design "Cloud Design" is open at Korea Kongyi University Graduate School of Fashion Trend Research Centre.

China's fashion scene is rapidly developing, and the demand and upgrading of Chinese creative talent is also very urgent. South Korea has a lot of experience, as a country known for its trend-setting fashion scene. Both POP and Korea Hongik University Graduate School of Fashion look forward to the development and exchange of fashion between China and South Korea.

Korea Hongik University Graduate School of Fashion runs a comprehensive graduate programme in South Korea. It is particularly known for its design majors. It is one of Asia's top design colleges and enjoys a high reputation worldwide.
