The latest association with the actress is a part of the company’s commitment towards the women consumer segment in India, the sports brand said in a press release.
“With this new association, I will be able to connect with and encourage more women to lead a fit and healthy lifestyle. I am looking forward to everything that Puma and I have planned for the coming year,” Sharma said in a statement.
“Bold, fierce, and outspoken Anushka is the perfect fit to be the face of Puma, whose platform Propah Lady celebrates today’s unapologetic woman who is unafraid to break stereotypes," Puma India added.
Before the announcement, Puma India and Anushka Sharma seemed to engage in a staged online banter, but later the brand revealed that the association is official.
The brand’s other ambassadors in India include Kareena Kapoor Khan, MC Mary Kom, Yuvraj Singh, Sunil Chhetri, and most recently Harrdy Sandhu.
