  • The runway show backdrop was the Stella Sustainable Market, a Parisian street market-themed presentation featuring 21 stalls displaying sustainable materials and innovations.
Sustainable British designer Stella McCartney has underlined her commitment to traceable merino wool supplier Nativa at the summer 2024 Paris Fashion Week catwalk presentation at Marché Saxe-Breteuil.

Serving as the backdrop of the runway show, McCartney revealed the Stella Sustainable Market. A re-imagined classic Parisian street market, the presentation featured 21 market stalls showcasing the works of McCartney’s sustainable and materials innovation partners alongside vintage clothing and pioneers from other industries.

Among the partners on show was blockchain-backed traceable wool supplier Nativa, spotlighting its commitment to regenerative farming and its continued mission in leading the fashion market in protecting animals, the land, and farming communities around the world.

“Today’s presentation by Stella McCartney not only highlighted our partner’s commitment to sustainable and circular fashion, but also provided suppliers like NATIVA with an opportunity to explain and showcase the valuable work we all do to a much broader audience. NATIVA™ is thrilled to work with such a supportive and dedicated designer,” Maria Estrada, global sales and marketing director at Nativa, said.

Flanking each side of the catwalk, the Stella Sustainable Market presented an immersive opportunity to inspire and educate show attendees on sustainable materials and circular fashion. Material innovation companies on display alongside NATIVA included: LVMH-owned deadstock platform Nona Source; vegan leather supplier Mabel Industries; and Natural Fibre Welding (NFW), specialising in plant-based, plastic-free alternatives to leather.
