The UK Fashion and Textile Association (UKFT) is undertaking a review of a range of national occupational standards (NOS) for the fashion and textile industry, covering manufacturing sewn products, manufacturing textile products and footwear, leather goods and leather production. NOS cover qualifications, training, apprenticeships and professional development.
NOS are developed and reviewed by employers from across the industry to ensure they keep pace with changing industry needs. To this end, UKFT is leading a series of review meetings with employers across four nations and conducting an online, open consultation. The deadline for feedback is 15 November.
