Zalora joins hands with Vestiaire Collective

Zalora, Asia’s online fashion destination, has joined hands with community driven platform for desirable pre-owned fashion, Vestiaire Collective. The partnership will promote the adoption of circular fashion, and will inspire consumers to be more conscious about their consumption habits by encouraging them to opt for extending lifespan of fashion products.

Zalora’s Hong Kong customers can access over 5,000 of Vestiaire Collective’s authenticated pre-loved items across women’s and men’s categories on Zalora’s website and app starting from May 18, 2020 in Hong Kong, with plans to extend to other Zalora markets.

Vestiaire Collective boasts a knowledgeable team of experts who conduct two rounds of checks to ensure the authenticity and quality of its products. These pre-loved items are featured on the main page of Zalora’s website and app and all orders will be fulfilled by Zalora’s efficient and reliable delivery network.

The fast expanding group of ethically-minded consumers in Zalora’s markets points towards circularity as the future of fashion, by minimising waste and reducing the impact on the environment. The idea of owning pre-loved fashion is quickly gaining popularity as more customers in the region actively search out and choose sustainable fashion, according to a press release by parent organisation of Zalora, Global Fashion Group.

Companies now need to work together to evolve from just reducing impact to making a positive impact. Our partnership with Vestiaire Collective effectively expands our Pre-Loved category, offering more choices to our Zalora shoppers and giving them a chance to partake in joining the circular fashion movement,” Gunjan Soni, Zalora CEO said.
