Ambassador of the Netherlands visits a factory of Babylon Group

Desk Report (RMG Times)  H.E Mr. Anne Van Leeuwen, Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to Bangladesh, along with some other senior officials of the Netherlands embassy and Better Work Bangladesh visited the factory of Aboni Fashions Limited (a sister concern of Babylon Group) on 23 March 2022. From Babylon Director Mr. Abdus Salam, Director Mr. Abidur Rahman, Group CEO- Mr. Arif Bhuiyan, AGM- HR & Compliance, Mr. Atiqul Islam Apu, AGM- Operation MM Tofazzal Hossain and other Babylon Officials were representing Aboni Fashions Ltd.

Aboni Fashions Ltd. is actively partnering and implementing many projects with Better Work Bangladesh, among them the main projects are- GEAR (Gender Equality And Returns), Mothers@Work. In addition, various factory development and specialized training activities are being conducted by the advisors of Better Work Bangladesh at Aboni Fashions Ltd. Some of them are- Occupational health and safety, Covid-19 Management, Supervisor Skill Training (SST), Mid-Level Management Development, Prevention of Sexual Harassment and Abuse, Grievance Mechanism and Social Dialogue Mechanism, etc.

Through the implementation of these projects, especially women in the factory play a leading role in protecting maternal rights, including enhancement of mental and technical skills for career advancement. After visiting Aboni Fashions Ltd. premise and its Day Care Centre, the guests praised the authorities of Babylon Group for their efforts and expressed satisfaction with the progress made. Especially Mr. Anne Van Leeuwen is amazed to observe the Babylon practices for the people management. The maximum people are long tenured employee who are actually working with happiness and utmost satisfaction. He wishes the long life business success of Babylon Group.
