Producer input prices in the United Kingdom fell by 0.4 per cent in the year to June 2024, up from a revised fall of 0.7 per cent in the year to May, according to the Office of National Statistics (ONS).

Producer output (factory gate) prices rose by 1.4 per cent in the year to June 2024, down from a rise of 1.7 per cent in the year to May.

On a monthly basis, producer input prices fell by 0.8 per cent in June, following a revised fall of 0.6 per cent in May, while factory gate prices fell by 0.3 per cent in the month, down from a revised rate of 0 per cent in the preceding month.

Estimates for both May and June this year are provisional.

Input prices for fuel fell by 14.5 per cent in the year to June 2024, down from a fall of 10.8 per cent in the year to May.

Input prices of materials and fuels imported by UK manufacturers fell by 0.2 per cent in the year to June 2024, up from a revised fall of 1.3 per cent in the year to May.
