Bangladesh textiles and jute minister Jahangir Kabir Nanak recently requested India to lift anti-dumping duty (ADD) on jute products from his country and called for raising cooperation in silk sector by exploring the possibility of the Bangladesh Silk Development Board and India’s Central Silk Board working together.He made the request to Indian high commissioner to Bangladesh Pranay Verma.
India has shown keen interest to invest in three jute mills in Bangladesh, he was quoted as saying by a news agency.
