Andritz to supply Yankee Eco Steam System to Essity in England

The PrimeDry YES generates high-pressure steam, providing up to 25 per cent of the steam required for the Yankee by utilising exhaust air from the Yankee hood. This significantly reduces the boiler’s gas consumption, overall energy costs, and CO2 emissions. The standalone system is integrated into the machine’s DCS and can operate completely independently of the machine’s production, allowing for easy operational control. Being classified as a heat exchanger rather than a boiler, the PrimeDry YES does not require special inspections, maintenance by certified personnel, or system certifications at the customer’s expense, the company said in a press release.

Essity and Andritz have successfully executed numerous joint projects over the past fifteen years. This latest order further solidifies Andritz’s proven expertise in sustainable drying technology. It marks the 39^th custom-designed PrimeDry YES supplied globally to major tissue industry players.
