PTC FlexPLM 11 offers connected smart features that address a variety of organisational needs, from merchandising, line planning, and product development to sourcing, costing, quality, compliance, and supply chain collaboration.
FlexPLM 11 also provides Role-Based Apps which improve the user experience by getting the right product data and on-point features to more stakeholders. Future planned FlexPLM releases include a continuous stream of app releases, starting with the Tech Pack Apps and Adobe Illustrator (AI) Design Tools, which are expected to be available in the summer of 2016.
The new PLM is enabled with ThingWorx technology allowing companies to build applications that connect, store, and relate the activities and data from people, systems, and things. FlexPLM 11 comes powered with the Internet of Things (IoT) for constant communication and dynamic flow of information across product lifecycles.
“Retailers have been disrupted by e-commerce and fast-fashion business models, so it is critical for us to stay ahead of their urgent needs to compress cycle times and enable new ways of working in the digital world. PTC FlexPLM 11 not only provides evolutionary capabilities that extend our core solution, but also provides significant innovations. We're delivering a game-changing user experience, while also providing a foundational set of capabilities to enable retailers to transform their business in the IoT era,” said Eric Symon, general manager, retail business unit, PTC.
