PT Dai-Ichi Kimia Raya (DKR) has achieved 1st Eco Passport by Oeko-Tex certificate with ZDHC Conformance Level 3 in Indonesia. Certificate hand-over ceremony was held in PT DaiIchi Kimia Raya’s head office in Karawang, West Java. PT Testex, as the only Oeko-Tex representative office in Indonesia was welcomed with appreciation during the hand-over ceremony.

Established in 1996, the main product of PT Dai-Ichi Kimia Raya have always been textile auxiliaries. Over time the chemical manufacturer also expanded its product line to antioxidant agent for vinyl chloride, flame retardant for resin, water retention agent for paper, and cake foaming agent. Since 2003 PT Dai-Ichi Kimia Raya has constantly been improving their processes, doing research and expanding their knowledge regarding chemical products and the responsible use of it.

With their strong teamwork, experienced Japanese staff, and their vision and mission, PT Dai-Ichi Kimia Raya’s hope is to contribute to technical improvement, set safety and ecology standards and enhance the competitiveness of the textile industry in Indonesia.

In 2018 PT Dai-Ichi Kimia Raya first achieved the Eco Passport by Oeko-Tex certification for their softening agent and dispersing levelling agent. This year the company now goes down in history as the first Eco Passport by Oeko-Tex certificate holder in Indonesia with ZDHC conformance level 3.

“We cannot thank Testex enough for their support and guidance during the certification process. We are incredibly proud that PT Dai-Ichi Kimia Raya obtained the very first Eco Passport by Oeko-Tex certificate with ZDHC Conformance Level 3 in Indonesia,” Anny Prasadja, research and development manager of PT Dai-Ichi Kimia Raya, said in a press release. “One of the biggest benefits of the certificate is, that it covers two standards at once and therefore exceeds the expectations of many buyers.”

The Eco Passport by Oeko-Tex certificate perfectly aligns with the company’s future and long-term plans to comply with all Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), a new programme of the United Nations.

“The most important thing to remember is, that the journey wasn’t over when we achieved the certificate, but this is only the beginning and we will continue to work with Testex and always strive to improve”, Kitani, the president director of PT Dai-Ichi Kimia Raya, said in the release.
