Evans spent her early career at M&S, joining as a management trainee and progressing through the business in roles across retail, womenswear and international. She is also a passionate advocate for the development of female leaders in retail and is a non-executive director on the Prince’s Trust Trading Board.
Evans will join the Asda leadership team alongside chief financial officer John Fallon, chief merchandising officer Derek Lawlor, general counsel Helen Selby, chief supply officer Mark Simpson and chief people officer Hayley Tatum. Meg Farren will also join the leadership team in October as chief customer officer, the company said in a press release.
