In these roles Horn has been a transformational leader, helping to bring traditional brands to state-of-the-art. In his previous role as CEO and managing director at Nordsee, Horn oversaw multiple sales channels in a market composed of 350 restaurants in 11 European countries, C&A Europe said in a press release.
An omnichannel retail enthusiast with a digital, marketing, and sales background, Horn will bring his knowledge of retail markets, experience with innovation management, and consumer-centric approach to the market lead role, in order to enhance especially the point-of-sale experience and the ‘quality of stay’ to C&A’s stores in Germany. Furthermore, his focus will be on breaking down the boundaries between off- and online towards a seamless omnichannel customer experience.
“Consumer-obsession is a core C&A value, and we were looking for a leader of Germany who would role model this core value. Carsten has the right balance of vision and action, logic and magic, and ambition and care. His hunger for growth is contagious. I am confident Carsten and his new team will unlock our German market for sustained and profitable growth and modernise our approach and ways of working. I am thrilled and honoured to welcome Carsten to the C&A family,” said Jason Morgan, chief operating officer, C&A Europe.
