Clothing and footwear, with minus 2.58 per cent, was the main sector that indicated a monthly drop in the month, an official release said. The sector’s CPI rose by 39.57 per cent YoY in the month.
Among indices of 143 basic headings in the index, the indices of 24 basic heading decreased and those of 4 basic headings remained unchanged while those of 115 basic headings rose.
CPI excluding unprocessed food, energy, alcoholic beverages, tobacco and gold rose by 2.47 per cent MoM, 28.48 per cent on the December 2023 figure, 60.31 per cent YoY and 68.37 per cent on a twelve-months moving averages basis in July.
