Executive Board member Sebastian Klauke will leave the retail and services group at his own request by April 30 of next year at the latest to take on a new challenge.

Sebastian Klauke joined the Otto Group Executive Board on 1 May, 2019 assuming responsibility for e-commerce, technology, business intelligence and corporate ventures. Previously, the 45-year-old physicist worked for the Boston Consulting Group, co-founded Autoda.de and was a partner and managing director of BCG Digital Ventures GmbH before being appointed Chief Digital Officer of the Otto Group in July 2017.

Sebastian Klauke now intends to follow a very exciting call from a company outside the Otto Group. “As much as we regret Sebastian Klauke's decision to leave our Group,” says Prof. Dr. Michael Otto, Chairman of the Supervisory Board, “we can understand his ambition and decision.” The succession planning will be appointed at a later date.
