Compared with the same month a year earlier, the rate of change of selling prices was minus 1.8 per cent in April and minus 2.6 per cent in March this year.
Lower wholesale prices of chemical products (minus 13.9 per cent) were the main reason for the year-on-year (YoY) decrease in overall wholesale prices in May. Compared with April 2024, such prices dropped by 0.9 per cent, a Destatis release said.
