The percentage that expects prices to go up in January was 93.8, an increase of 0.2 percentage points from the previous month. The percentage that expects prices to stay the same in January was 2—a rise of 0.3 percentage points over December.The percentage that expects prices to go down in January was 2.5—a decrease of 0.7 percentage points from the previous month.
This survey by the Economic and Social Research Institute (ESRI) covered 8,400 households, with a response rate of 80 per cent.
