Such prices increased by 0.1 per cent month on month (MoM) during May, with prices of goods rising by 0.1 per cent MoM.
Compared with the previous month, the highest contribution to the total consumer price index (CPI) in May came from higher prices related to food, restaurants and hotels, and health, as well as alcoholic beverages and tobacco.
A 0.4-per cent drop in prices of clothing and footwear decreased the index by 0.02 percentage point (pp) in the month, a Statistics Poland release said.
Compared with the corresponding month of the previous year, lower prices related to clothing and footwear (by 0.2 per cent) decreased the index by 0.01 pp.
