Polish retail sales at constant prices in January this year were 3 per cent higher year on year (YoY) compared to a YoY increase of 0.1 per cent in the same month last year, official statistics show. Retail sales in the month dropped by 19.5 per cent month on month (MoM).

Entities selling textiles, clothing and footwear recorded a fall of 24.7 per cent YoY in retail sales in January.

Online retail sales value in the country at current prices increased by 11 per cent during the month.

The share of online sales in total sales increased YoY in January from 8.3 per cent to 8.8 per cent.

The online sales of enterprises selling textiles, clothing and footwear in the total sales in the sector increased to 27.2 per cent in January from 21.5 per cent during the corresponding month last year.
