The monthly variation of Spain’s seasonally- and calendar-adjusted general retail trade index (RTI) at constant prices between June and May stood at 0.3 per cent. This was one-tenth lower than the previous month’s. The variation was 6.4 per cent year on year (YoY) in June—three-tenths higher than the one registered in May.The general index, excluding service stations, recorded a monthly rate of minus 0.8 per cent. The index for non-food products increased by 1.1 per cent. The index for single retail stores decreased the most: minus 1.8 per cent, according to official data.
The original RTI series at constant prices registered an annual variation of 6.8 per cent—two-tenths above the rate of the previous month.
