British multinational groceries and general merchandise retailer Tesco has reportedly promoted its creative and digital director Jan Marchant to the rank of chief executive for its F&F clothing arm seven months after Richard Price stepped down to take up the clothing and home managing director role with Marks & Spencer, with whom he had worked previously.

Marchant started her career at Topshop and had stints as a senior buyer at Etam and head of ladieswear buying at Mackays before she moved to Tesco in 2002 as UK buying director.
She worked her way up to F&F Europe design director 2011 and was made creative and digital director in 2017.
