Vietnam’s May consumer price index (CPI) rose by 0.05 per cent month on month (MoM) and by 4.44 per cent year on year (YoY), the general statistics office (GSO) announced recently. It increased by 1.24 per cent compared to the December 2023 figure.The average CPI recorded in the first five months of the year rose by 4.03 per cent YoY.
Among the 11 main groups of consumer goods and services, a total of seven saw price hikes compared to the previous month, while three saw a price decline.
