Walmart and PenguinPickUp launch 1st location in Montreal

Walmart Canada is offering Montrealers more pickup options with opening of its first Walmart/PenguinPickUp location in Montreal. It is the latest in a suite of innovative stores and services offered by Walmart Canada and 3rd-party partners to help time-strapped downtown customers shop where, when and how they want while enjoying Walmart's everyday low prices.

Located at 1692 Mont-Royal Avenue East, customers can order groceries, general merchandise and other items on Walmart, then choose a convenient time to pick up their items on site.

“Montreal's first Walmart/PenguinPickup location in the heart of the city is about providing Montrealers with greater access to Walmart's low prices in a way that is convenient for them,” said Alexis Lanternier, executive vice president, e-commerce. "Investing in innovation is critical for the future of our business and to deliver on the changing needs of our customers with a more flexible and convenient shopping experience, wherever they live."

Walmart Canada operates a growing chain of more than 400 stores nationwide serving 1.5 million customers each day.

PenguinPickUp is a network of free, convenient ‘one-stop pick-up’ locations for all e-commerce purchases including groceries, courier and dry-cleaning services. PenguinPickUp offers a customer-focused experience that allows online shoppers living in urban areas to have their online purchases shipped to a PenguinPickUp where they will be securely stored.
