Created by the GCA, Festive Friday is a nationwide campaign supported by Royal Mail. It is the day when everyone in the card industry and card lovers everywhere, send their Christmas cards and start the annual exchange of Christmas cards, Spring Fair organiser Hyve Group said in its press release.
“We are really pleased to have collaborated on such a wonderful project with the GCA, Retail Trust, and our generous greetings card exhibitors The Art File and Ling Design to support Festive Friday. It is wonderful to see the lovely Retail Trust residents to get together for an hour or two to write their Christmas cards to send on to their loved ones,” Stuart Thomas, head of global partnerships, Hyve Group, said.
“Seeing a hand-written envelope on the doormat is a lovely feeling, opening a greeting card that someone has chosen and written especially for you will create a powerful connection; Christmas cards link loved ones together across the world. We’re delighted that Spring Fair and the Retail Trust are celebrating Festive Friday, starting the first wave of card sending, reminding everyone to post their cards,” Amanda Fergusson, CEO, Greeting Card Association, said.
Spring Fair and the Retail Trust are also working on a host of other projects like this, and to raise money for the charity, in the next few months including collaboration with the GCA and Retail Trust for Thinking of You Week during 2022.
Spring Fair will take place at the NEC Birmingham from February 6-9, 2022. With four key buying destinations to get excited about - Home, Gift (incorporating Greetings, Floral, Party and Christmas), Fashion and Design & Source – Spring Fair will offer a treasure trove of much loved and established favourites as well as an array of new brands and designers showing for the first time. With its unparalleled cross-buying opportunities, the inspirational show creates a compelling and unmissable platform for buyers to touch, feel, and experience the latest products, trends and innovations across home, gift, fashion, and sourcing – from across the UK and overseas, the release added.
