The Dutch retail sector recorded 5.3 per cent year-on-year (YoY) turnover growth in April this year, according to Statistics Netherlands (CBS). The volume of sales decreased by 4.8 per cent. Turnover was up by 2 per cent YoY in the non-food sector, while online retail turnover increased by 3.2 per cent YoY.If the shopping-day pattern is not taken into account, retail turnover in April was 2.7 per cent higher YoY.
The volume of sales (turnover adjusted for price changes) decreased by 6.1 per cent compared to the same month last year.
