Polish apparel retailer LPP reports Q1 FY22 sales of PLN 2.3 bn

LPP, a Polish company engaged in manufacturing of clothing and retailing, posted 99.4 per cent revenue growth to PLN 2.3 billion (Polish zloty) in its first quarter (Q1) FY22 ended on April 30, 2021, compared to PLN 1.1 billion in the same period of previous fiscal. The group’s net profit for Q1 was PLN 21.5 million (Q1 FY21: loss PLN 361.9 million).
 
Gross profit on sales for Q1 FY22 rose to PLN 1.3 billion (PLN 0.5 billion), while operating profit improved to PLN 87.2 million (loss: PLN 260.5 million). The group’s online sales during the three-month period escalated 157.3 per cent to PLN 988.3 million (PLN 384.0 million).
 
During the first quarter, LPP’s sales in all the regions that it operates increased except for Great Britain. Sales in Poland grew 69.8 per cent to PLN 910.3 million (PLN 536.0 million), while other European countries sales surged 100.2 per cent to PLN 694.8 million (PLN 347.0 million). CIS region’s sales jumped 153.1 per cent to PLN 738.7 million (PLN 291.8 million), whereas Middle East sales increased 74.8 per cent to PLN 6.4 million (PLN 3.7 million).
 
Sales from group’s all five brands improved during Q1 FY22: Reserved PLN 956 million (PLN 554 million), Cropp PLN 252 million (PLN 135 million), House PLN 196 million (PLN 119 million), Mohito PLN 178 million (PLN 126 million), and Sinsay PLN 740 million (PLN 231 million).
