A silk yam production centre for women will be set up at the Institute of Bioresources and Sustainable Development (IBSD), Imphal, through community-based participation for training women for self employment, institute director Dinabandhu Sahoo has announced. Training will include operating the local-made multi-reeling-cum-twisting machine and dying methods.
