The half day seminar had speakers like Hardik Shah, director of Chacha Lifystyle, Ela Dedhia, chairperson of SDC EC, Yogesh Gaikwad, director of SDC International, Ramesh Agarwal, vice president - sales of Archroma India - Textile Specialities Business, Pradeep Rane, GM - sales and marketing of CHT India and Nandan Prabhune of Thermax.
In the first technical session on water conservation, Ramesh Agarwal spoke on what Archroma has to offer in polyester dyeing, different types of polyester, generic polyester dyeing, the methodologies and classifications in polyester dyeing and other critical aspects of polyester dyeing.
In the next session, Pradeep Rane discussed the sustainable processes of discontinuous processing of cellulosic fibres. He explained the discontinuous processing method in detail and how this method leads to around 30 per cent less water consumption, requires lesser salt and dyestuffs, consumes around 80 per cent less energy, etc.
Nandan Prabhune gave details on the various options available in waste water treatment along with the latest developments in this area, in the last session. He also elaborated on how Thermax can help in waste water treatment in the textile industry.
A panel discussion was also organised which presented solutions on the water crisis problem.
The event saw participation from more than 70 delegates, students and faculties, industry experts and organisation heads.
