Avery Dennison is set host Design Studio, an exhibition space at the Copenhagen Fashion Summit, on May 15 and 16, 2019. Inspired by creative directors, Design Studio will exhibit a unique curation of solutions specifically tailored to the needs of creative directors and designers, equipping them with the necessary tools to translate words into action.
Design Studio will be open both days of the summit and twice a day, a small group of creative directors will have the opportunity to attend an intimate and interactive tour that explores a responsible supply chain and allows them to engage with the solutions on display and have informal discussions. An advisory board comprising some of the industry’s leading creative minds provided input for the development of Design Studio based on their highly diverse sustainability approaches. Some are new to the game, others fully integrated. Their input focused on two equally relevant issues: what is needed to get designers more involved and what must be done to inspire more creative minds to take upon the sustainability challenges we face. The advisory board members include Prabal Gurung, CEO and creative director, Prabal Gurung; Matthew Williams, creative director, 1017 Alyx 9SM; Peter Copping, independent fashion professional and former creative director at Oscar de la Renta; and Charlotte Eskildsen, creative director, Designers Remix.

Copenhagen Fashion Summit 2018 saw the launch of Innovation Forum, a solutions platform presenting a curated selection of the world’s most promising solution providers. At the this year’s summit, Innovation Forum will once again enable participating fashion brands to meet with solution providers covering the entire supply chain.
