DOMOTEX asia/CHINAFLOOR 2025 will return strong again as the largest dedicated gathering of the world’s flooring industry for the year

The event will take place in Shanghai from 26th to 28th May 2025 as part of “Build Asia Mega Show”, a platform of co-located shows and activities established to foster the integration among construction, building materials and interior design sectors.

After a successful edition held in May 2024, which saw a record visitation of 83,850 trade visitors coming from 117 different countries, the show is set to solidify its role in 2025 as the leading dedicated platform to serve the flooring businesses from all over the world. The continuous increase of the international visitors in the last 2 editions, in particular of those coming from South and Southeast Asian regions, is a true testament of its positioning as the key large-scale event to serve the thriving Asian markets and beyond.

“China continues to dominate Asia’s flooring markets. Despite the current challenging times, the consumption confidence is returning, thanks also to the targeted incentive policies put in place by the government.”– said Aida Cuko, International business director at Globus Events, co-organizer of the event together with Deutsche Messe. “We are committed to continue providing the industry with an efficient trading platform, which assists the companies to stay up to date with what is happening in the industry and explore new business opportunities in the right markets.” – concluded Cuko.

The exhibitors continue to line up, showing their confidence and trust towards the show as well as to the markets it represents. Leading companies of all types of flooring and its supply chain such as CFL, Daejin, Eletile (HMTX), ExxonMobil Chemical, Freudenberg, Haima, Huali, i4F, KDF, Novalis, Paulig, Ruixin, Standard Carpets, Swiss Krono, Unilin Technologies, Uny Floors, Valinge, Vandewiele, have already confirmed their presence next year. The early bird preferred rates will apply until November 8th.

Returning with its theme “More than Flooring”, DOMOTEX asia/CHINAFLOOR 2025 will cover the flooring world at 360 degrees and showcase the most innovative products and cutting-edge technologies. As in the recent years, products such as ceiling, wall materials, door, cabinets and more will complement the offer at the show. Building on its tradition, DOMOTEX asia/CHINAFLOOR will partner again with a lineup of leading events, such as R+T Asia, the leading Asia-Pacific exhibition for sun shading systems and doors/gates, cadex, an international event for networking, learning, and business activities in the design and architecture field, and others. By coming together under the Build Asia Mega Show platform, these events aim to facilitate conversation across different channels in the construction, building materials?and?interior design sectors.

DOMOTEX asia/CHINAFLOOR 2024 took place in Shanghai last May and 1600+ companies and brands showcased the flooring industry in an exhibiting area of 230,000sqm. The show registered a remarkable increase of 25% of the international visitors over the previous year, reaching a total of 17,923 and surpassing the record number of the 2019 edition, making thus the show more international than ever.

China Steps Up to Spur Consumer Demand

China's State Council released an action plan this March to initiate large-scale equipment upgrades and trade-ins of consumer goods. Over the past few months, the action plan has been translated into concrete policy measures by relevant departments and local governments, injecting fresh impetus into the consumer market and generating positive initial effects on the economy. Flooring and building materials’ products are also among the categories that will benefit from these schemes. Notably, Shanghai has taken the lead by rolling out detailed rules for its consumer goods trade-in schemes, offering up to 20% subsidies for the acquisition of flooring, doors, suspended ceilings, and other decoration materials. The nearby province of Zhejiang provides a 20% subsidy for old house renovation materials, while Jiangsu supports the application of green building materials with a 15% subsidy. Other cities and provinces such as Beijing, Chongqing, Fujian and Yunnan have also incorporated their own schemes targeting old houses renovations and elderly-friendly modifications, demonstrating a comprehensive approach to boosting consumption and enhancing living standards.
