Lower Saxony’s Ministry of Economics, Labour, Transport and Digitalisation has named the Hannover exhibition centre as a ‘Digital Location Lower Saxony’ three times. Three individual projects have been awarded; H’Up as a new, multifunctional event location, the Media Factory as a streaming studio complex, and the latest project, 5G Smart Venue.
The H’Up is the new, multifunctional event location for this and, depending on the pandemic, allows both, digital and hybrid event formats. The Media Factory is a large-scale streaming studio complex for digital events and professional video and audio production. The latest project is the 5G Smart Venue, which will equip the entire site with the 5G mobile communications standard, according to a press release by Deutsche Messe.Lower Saxony's Ministry of Economics, Labour, Transport and Digitalisation has named the Hannover exhibition centre as a 'Digital Location Lower Saxony' three times. “With the award ‘Digital Location Lower Saxony’, we put the spotlight on initiatives, projects, companies and institutions that are particularly committed to digitalisation and thus make an important contribution to the innovative strength of our state,” Stefan Muhle, state secretary for digitisation at the Lower Saxony Ministry of Economics, Labour, Transport and Digitalisation said in a statement.
“With the onset of the Corona pandemic, we started to develop new hybrid and digital event formats to provide our customers with individual solutions for addressing their customers digitally. We have, thus, quickly created the opportunity for virtual marketplaces, across all industries, ensuring that supply can meet demand,” Jochen Köckler, chairman of the managing board of Deutsche Messe said in a statement.
“With the 5G equipment, we turn our exhibition centre into an innovative multifunctional campus. We are delighted that our three new products have been very well accepted by the market and have now also been officially recognised by the Lower Saxony Ministry of Economics, Labour, Transport and Digitalisation as ‘Digital Location Lower Saxony’, Köckler added.
