The ITM 2024 Exhibition, one of the most important meeting points for leaders in textile technology, concluded with great success. Organised after the pause experienced all over the world since September 2022, ITM 2024 provided vital support to the textile industry. Over five days, the exhibition attracted 66,200 professional visitors and investors from 99 countries, revitalising the industry through machine sales and generating a business volume of billions of euros.

The ITM 2024 International Textile Machinery Exhibition was held in partnership with Tüyap Tüm Fuarcilik Yapim Inc. and Teknik Fairs Inc., in cooperation with the Textile Machinery and Accessories Industrialists Association (TEMSAD). It took place at the Tüyap Fair and Congress Center from 4-8 June 2024. Spanning 13 halls and covering an area of 120,000 square metres, ITM 2024 set new records for exhibitor and visitor numbers, as well as machine sales. A total of 1,385 companies and company representatives from 71 countries participated, with 66,200 visitors attending from 99 countries—45 per cent from abroad and 55 per cent domestically.

Visa Liberalisation Increased Country Diversity

ITM 2024 welcomed thousands of visitors from across the globe, benefitting from Istanbul’s excellent transport links and the absence of visa issues. The exhibition’s location in Istanbul enhanced visitor diversity and created an ideal environment for global collaborations. As Turkey remains a key market in the textile industry, this diversity further underscored the strategic importance of the event. Exhibitors expressed their satisfaction at meeting customers from countries that often face visa challenges when attending European exhibitions. The presence of professional visitors and investors from countries such as Sri Lanka, Uruguay, Peru, Trinidad and Tobago, Rwanda, Burkina Faso, Mauritius, Mongolia, and Tuvalu highlighted the global appeal of ITM 2024.

Machine Sales and New Collaborations Signed

ITM 2024 once again cemented its leading position in the industry by offering a wide range of opportunities to both visitors and exhibitors. Participating companies not only strengthened their existing business relationships but also forged new partnerships. From the very first day, exhibitors were flooded with visitors, leading to machine sales and the signing of significant collaborations. This dynamic atmosphere brought great vitality not only to the exhibitors but also to the textile machinery industry, which had been on pause since September 2022. Over the five-day exhibition, the machinery sales and collaborations generated a total business volume exceeding 1.5 billion euros, playing a crucial role in accelerating both the sector and the broader economy.

Latest Innovations in Textile Technologies Exhibited at ITM 2024

This year, ITM 2024 was organised under the motto ‘Discover the Future’ and turned into a celebration of textiles, with hundreds of manufacturers showcasing leading technologies. The event attracted global investors and trade delegations, offering exhibitors a chance to closely follow sector developments and explore the latest innovations. Company owners, managers, employees, and industry representatives visiting the exhibition had the opportunity to see the latest technological advancements and witness world launches. Visitors discovered innovative, nature-friendly, and pioneering digitalisation technologies for a sustainable future. Company owners also had the chance to consult with experts about the technologies they could implement in their factories, helping them to map out their future investments.
